That's why we also offer items that help you transform your home into a place where you can relax and recharge. We focus on quality and sustainability.
We select each item carefully and lovingly. To do this, we personally travel to countries such as India, Thailand or Bali. When purchasing, we pay attention to quality, natural materials, high-quality ingredients and good workmanship. Because what you buy from us should bring you long-lasting joy.
Most of our products are handmade; many are unique pieces and only available from us in Switzerland. From handmade silver jewelry from Thailand to a chest of drawers made of mango wood from India: we love traditional craftsmanship and want to help preserve these skills.
We do this, for example, by only buying small quantities from small producers; producers we know personally. The majority of our partners are family businesses with whom we have worked for many years. We pay fair prices and thus enable traditional craft businesses to access the international market. We do not use middlemen or unnecessary packaging material. We make all processes as sustainable as possible - from the transport of goods to the furnishing of our stores.
We take responsibility.
Social responsibility is important to us. Not only towards our producers abroad, but also towards our employees in Switzerland. We rely on flat hierarchies and co-determination. Our employees can get involved and, for example, help creatively design the stores. This makes each branch unique. And: every December we start a fundraising campaign that benefits social institutions at the locations of our stores.
Who are we?
A Swiss company founded by a woman and successfully run by two women.
Cachet is firmly in the hands of women. Today, just as it was back then, when Henriette Bauer opened the first Cachet store in Bern in 1957. Locations in other Swiss cities soon followed. Since 2011, the two entrepreneurs and friends Catherine and Tina have been running the company - with a lot of passion and heart and soul.
Catherine is the creative one who loves to travel. She personally selects all the beautiful things that can be seen at Cachet in India, Thailand and Bali. Tina is the practical one who makes sure that everything runs smoothly in the 12 branches - from Basel to Chur to Lausanne.
We are also there for you online.
You can find us in our 12 branches throughout Switzerland, but also online. Like here on our website and in our webshop, where you can order many items around the clock and have them conveniently delivered to your home.
